Lotus Peak

The foundation for a film studio built on story, and long-term scale

Lotus Peak is a fiction film company focused on scripted stories for streamers, cinema, and the international festival circuit. We partnered from the beginning to shape a brand rooted in intention — balancing visual strength with room for narrative flexibility.

Lotus Peak was founded with a clear point of view. Its goal was never just to produce films — but to build an environment where storytelling could grow, shaped by creative freedom and grounded process. From the beginning, the brand needed to hold that duality: bold enough to stand beside major production houses, yet light enough to adapt to the tone of each project.

We joined Lotus Peak as creative partners at inception — working closely with founder Joost Bremmers to design a brand that could support long-term growth across international markets. While the name existed, the brand did not. Our work included developing the full identity system: a wordmark inspired by an eclipse (a nod to the "Day One" philosophy that guided the brand’s early thinking), a series of lockups, and brand volumes designed to scale visibility based on context — from prominent studio-level presence to light-touch endorsements.

The challenges

The brand needed to feel established from the outset. Not performatively, but structurally — as if it had already earned its place in the conversation. It also had to carry restraint: films come first, not the studio behind them. Our task was to design a system that stays out of the way when needed, but speaks clearly when it must — a framework that holds both autonomy and authorship.

The Solutions

We built a brand architecture that adapts to the creative environment it operates in. The system includes full, semi, and minimal brand volumes — giving filmmakers flexibility while keeping LotusPeak’s identity intact. Typography, color, and spatial logic were all codified into brand guidelines, alongside a scalable pitch deck system designed for in-house use. The pitch deck acts as both a sales tool and storytelling framework — supporting the studio’s internal structure while keeping each concept distinct.
